In Argentina, Agrofy News reported that the lack of water has complicated the soybean season in Argentina’s core productive region. Both the first and second crop crops need rain to avoid losing yield potential.
In this regard, the Rosario Board of Trade (BCR) highlighted that short-cycle soybeans were affected, with the percentage of fields in fair condition rising by 13 percentage points. “If it doesn’t rain this week, there could already be reductions in yield potential,” the report stated.
An estimated 450,000 hectares of early-planted soybeans are in this condition.
Regarding early-planted soybeans, the crop has entered its critical period, with 5% of the area already in full fruiting stage, the report added.
