In Kazakhstan, KazMunayGas and LanzaJet has undertaken a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production feasibility study that has already passed the preliminary development stage. The feasibility study will be completed this year. “Joint work will make a significant contribution to achieving low-carbon development goals and will allow the introduction of new technologies. It will also help KMG reduce emissions by 15% by 2031 compared to 2019. In general, the project will significantly affect the development of the biofuel market and the transit capabilities of Kazakhstan,” said KMG CEO Askhat Khasenov.
