In Japan, Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd provided marine biofuels to the SERENITY HIGHWAY, a dedicated automobile carrier operated by NYK, at the Port of Nagoya on October 30. This is MHI’s first supply of biofuels to MOL’s operated ships in the Chukyo area.
By using the B24 it is expected to have a CO2 reduction effect of about 750 tons of CO2 on the voyage of the SERENITY HIGHWAY vessel. In addition, FAME used in manufacturing meets EU standards (ISCC-EU certification) and is in compliance with international sustainability standards because Proof of Sustainability (PoS) is issued at the time of supply. This is the case of the second port of supplying marine biofuels for domestic ships to MOL’s operated vessels.
