In Russia, Port News reported that Japan and the Netherlands strengthened their hydrogen cooperation with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Japan Hydrogen Association (JH2A) and NLHydrogen at the Osaka Expo.
The agreement was signed by Hiroshi Fukushima, Executive Director of JH2A, and Marcel Galjee, President of NLHydrogen.
The MoU is part of a broader Dutch economic mission to Japan focused on energy transition, sustainability, and circular economy, organized on the occasion of the World Expo 2025 in Osaka. Hydrogen is one of the central themes of this mission, according to the report.
Marcel Galjee said: “The consistent commitment to hydrogen that this country shows is exactly what is needed to really make it happen. We’re looking forward to working together with JH2A on our shared mission.”
The MoU includes an exchange of information between the organizations in four areas: technology, value chain development, policy frameworks, and coordination on global standards, the report added.
