Jagatjit starts commercial production at Punjab ethanol plant

In India, Chemical Industry Digest reported that Jagatjit Industries commenced commercial production at its grain-based ethanol plant in Hamira, located in Punjab’s Kapurthala district. 

The facility will have a daily production capacity of 200 kiloliters, according to the report.

The report also noted that the plant will supply 65–70 million liters of ethanol per year to Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), directly supporting India’s national goals under the ethanol blending and biofuel programs.

“This plant brings stable, high-quality revenue that strengthens our balance sheet and funds our next phase of growth across premium spirits and new markets,” said Roshini Sanah Jaiswal, Promoter and Executive Director of Jagatjit Industries.
