Iowa governor Kim Reynolds meeting stakeholders before deciding on eminent domain bill

In Iowa, the Gazette reports Iowa governor Kim Reynolds is meeting with a diverse group of stakeholders regarding the bill that has been passed by both chambers of the state’s legislature that would regulate hazardous liquid pipelines and other energy infrastructure projects and would restrict the use of eminent domain. The governor has until June 14 to sign or veto the bill that has split the state’s Republican party into those seeking to boost the ethanol industry and those seeking to protect landowners from risk of eminent domaine for pipeline projects.
