Indonesian Pizza Hut owner dives into UCO biodiesel production

In Indonesia, PT Sarimelati Kencana Tbk, the license holder of Pizza Hut in Indonesia and operator of the largest pizza restaurant network in the country, reinforced its commitment to sustainability by announcing a collaboration with TUKR in managing food production waste across PHD (Pizza Hut Delivery) outlets nationwide. TUKR is an Indonesian company in the renewable energy sector, particularly biofuel, and a leading company in Indonesia in collecting used cooking oil as one of the main raw materials for biofuel. Through this partnership, used cooking oil from 276 PHD outlets in Indonesia is collected and managed by TUKR to support global efforts in reducing carbon emissions and environmental pollution.
