In the UK, Fuels Cells Works reported that India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for a green Hydrogen project at Pudimadaka in the Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh. The project will be set up by NTPC Green Energy. The NTPC subsidiary has already signed a joint venture agreement with the New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP) to develop a portfolio of renewable energy projects. The joint venture proposes to establish 10 gigawatts of pumped hydro storage, with a production capacity of 0.5 million metric tons per annum (MMTPA) of derivatives, and to set up 25 GW of solar, wind, and hybrid power projects. This facility will produce 1,500 tons of green hydrogen per day, the report added.
