In India, Times of India reported that the government of Indian state Uttar Pradesh is promoting the cultivation of napier grass across the state in an attempt to increase the income of farmers.
The report highlighted that the local government would provide grants to encourage the cultivation of napier grass across the state.
The state government will also provide the root of hybrid napier grass to some beneficiaries and then buy it from them at twice the price, the report added.
