India in early stages of developing SAF policy

In India, PSU Watch reports the government is looking seriously at the opportunities provided by sustainable aviation fuel and as such is in the early stages of drafting a SAF policy. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation plans to reach out to industry as well as to other ministries to get input into the policy, which the director general described currently as being at “stage zero”. Related to those plans, the government has embarked upon a study analyzing the biomass that could potentially be available as feedstock for SAF.
