In India, the Hindu Business Line newspaper reports ethanol blending reached its highest ever level in January at 19.6% as the country aims to reach 20% this season. December saw the previous blending record at 18.2% while the cumulative for November through January was 17.4%. To achieve a cumulative 20% blend for the November to October marketing year, 9.9 billion liters of ethanol will be required against the 16.8 billion liters of installed production capacity.
