India expected to produce record grain crop

In Missouri, World Grain reported that India is expected to produce a record amount of wheat, corn and soybeans in 2024-25, according to a report from the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare.

Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan attributed the increase to the various schemes the government is providing to farmers to develop the agricultural sector.

Wheat production is estimated at 115.4 million tons, up from 113.3 million tons in the previous season, according to the report.

India is also set to produce a record amount of corn at 24.8 million tons, while soybean production is estimated at a record 15.1 million tons, the report added.
