In India, Newspoint reports that the country reached 19.24% ethanol blending in the 2024/25 year that ended on Oct. 31, with the highest blending level seen in October at 19.97%. The E20 mandate originally set for the 2029/30 blending year was brought forward to 2025/26 that kicked off on Nov. 1. To ensure sufficient feedstock for ethanol production, the government approved the use of surplus rice for both 2024/25 and 2025/26 blending years in addition to unrestricted use of sugarcane juice and molasses.
