In India, the Economic Times reports that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a target for production 5 million metric tons annually of green hydrogen by 2030 as part of his wider plan to achieve 500 GW of renewable energy by then. Sustainable feedstock for biofuels has also reached 500 million tons, including those that produce ethanol that have helped to achieve 19% blending and will hit 20% before October, as planned. Biofuels are also meant to be part of the strategy to help India Railways achieve net-zero by 2030.
