HTEC launches Burnaby facility featuring British Columbia’s first commercial-scale clean hydrogen electrolyzer

October 30, 2025 |

In India, SolarQuarter reported that HTEC has inaugurated the Burnaby Clean Hydrogen Production Facility, featuring British Columbia’s first commercial-scale clean hydrogen electrolyzer. This marks a major step in the province’s low-carbon transition and anchors HTEC’s growing hydrogen hub in Metro Vancouver, according to the report.

Located strategically in Burnaby, the facility provides a locally produced supply of clean hydrogen to support HTEC’s expanding station network and fleet customers. It integrates hydrogen production via electrolysis with a fully operational liquid hydrogen gasification system to ensure supply redundancy, producing a combined total of 1.8 tons of clean hydrogen per day, it added.

The facility also supports industrial customers seeking to decarbonize operations or incorporate hydrogen into low-carbon energy solutions.
