Honeywell, NTPC Green Energy collaborate on SAF production in India

June 3, 2025 |

In the UK, Fuel Cells Works reported that Honeywell and NTPC Green Energy have entered into a partnership to explore the production of sustainable aviation fuel. The initiative will leverage Honeywell’s eFining technology to convert CO2 emissions from NTPC’s thermal power plants, combined with green hydrogen, into SAF. “SAF production forms the sizeable part of the ambitious Green Hydrogen Hub of NTPC Green in Pudimadaka, Andhra Pradesh. We believe that the mandate in the aviation sector for blending SAF in jet fuel will drive many early mover projects in green hydrogen,” said DMR Panda, Executive Director at NTPC. The feasibility study for this project is expected to be completed by mid-2025, according to the report.
