September 30, 2025 |

In India, BioEnergy Times reported that HD Hyundai Oilbank has launched South Korea’s first supply of sustainable aviation fuel.

The company announced that it will begin providing SAF for Korean Air Lines Co.’s Incheon–Kobe route this month. Under the agreement, Hyundai Oilbank will supply SAF to a total of 90 Korean Air aircraft through 2026.

Hyundai Oilbank has been producing biodiesel at a commercial scale of 130,000 tons annually since last year as part of its strategy to expand its bio business into a major growth driver. The company has also adopted South Korea’s first supercritical process technology, enabling the use of non-edible, high-acid feedstocks under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions without a catalyst, according to the report.
