In Germany, H2APEX has acquired the hydrogen project of Hamburg-based HH2E at the Lubmin site. H2APEX said it intends to complete the green hydrogen production facility initially planned by HH2E. With this new project, H2APEX also acquires the land, infrastructure, and all necessary connections for a successful hydrogen project, including existing electricity and water supply connections, the company said. Additionally, the site provides direct access to multiple pipelines, which are set to be converted to hydrogen operation by 2027, enabling integration into Germany’s core hydrogen network. Peter Rößner, CEO of H2APEX, said: “Bt acquiring the project in Lubmin, H2APEX strengthens its position as a national and, in the future, an international hydrogen supplier. Lubmin is the most promising location for the German hydrogen industry, serving as a key hub in the country’s core hydrogen network and benefiting from its proximity to offshore wind farms.
