In Bulgaria, Renewables Now reported that Dutch gas grid operator Gasunie said that the first 32-km portion of the Dutch hydrogen network in Rotterdam has been filled with green hydrogen, with 32 tons of green hydrogen supplied to do so.
Netherlands’ hydrogen network is being developed by Gasunie subsidiary Hynetwork. The pipeline in Rotterdam links the city’s port with industrial customers in the nearby area. The Delta Rhine Corridor (DRC) is ultimately planned to connect Rotterdam to industry elsewhere in the Netherlands, as well as to Germany and hydrogen infrastructure across north-western Europe, according to the report.
Gasunie partnered with US hydrogen company Plug Power Inc on filling the pipe.
