European Commission seen ensuring biofuels´key role in next bioeconomy strategy

In Belgium, Euronews reports a leaked document shows the European Commission sees biofuels as a key decarbonization tool in the upcoming renewal of its bioeconomy strategy that is set to be published on Thursday. Although concerns about insufficient biofuel feedstocks to meet demand, especially with increased demand from maritime and aviation sectors that are notoriously difficult to decarbonize without biofuels, increased imports from Ukraine could help to stabilize those supplies.
