Ethanol production slows slightly due to ice and snow

In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports ethanol production fell slightly last week to 1.114 million barrels day due to cold temperatures and snow that hindered production in many parts of the key regions. In the meantime, crush margins have tightened for many producers even though they remain in the positive territory. With lower production, stocks fell in line by 399,000 barrels to 25.4 million barrels. Exports also fell to 157,000 barrels per day, down 61,000 bpd from the week prior but similar to the same time last year.
