August 21, 2025 |

In Washington, the Wall Street Journal reports Energy Information Administration data shows ethanol production fell by 20,000 barrels per day last week, but ethanol stocks still grew by 400,000 barrels to 22.69 million barrels, recovering from an eight-month low. Both stocks and production levels landed within the range expected by analysts surveyed by Dow Jones. Stocks increase meanwhile ethanol production fell likely indicates a reduction in purchases by refiners and blenders even though the summer driving season still has a few weeks to go.
