Ethanol production rises thanks to high crush margins

In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports Energy Information Administration data shows ethanol production rose last week to 1.069 million barrels a day, up 46,000 on the week and 86,000 compared to last year. Stocks reached 23.435 million barrels last week, the highest in 16 weeks, due to increased production and lower exports compared to last year, although they were slightly higher last week at 79,000 barrels a day. Distillers are still seeing positive profit margins, encouraging increased production.
