Equitix becomes 100% shareholder in Bio Capital

In the UK, Equitix has become the 100% shareholder in Bio Capital following the successful acquisition of Helios’ interests in the company. The transaction marks the evolution of a successful partnership between two leading infrastructure and energy investors who jointly developed the business.

Bio Capital is the UK market leader in Anaerobic Digestion with a portfolio of plants across the UK. The Company recycles half a million tonnes of food wastes which, combined with its generation of green energy, avoids up to 360,000 tons of CO₂ annually. With accredited capacity to generate over 900GWhth of biogas each year, Bio Capital is a growing enabler in the decarbonization of the natural gas grid network and displacement of fossil fuel usage in the transport sector.
