In Washington, Reuters reports the Environmental Protection Agency is expected to rule on some of the 195 outstanding Small Refiner Exemption applications that are pending, but it won’t yet decide on whether large refiners have to compensate for the waived gallons from smaller refineries. The decision on what to do with large refiners will come following a public consultation on the matter that will be launched next week. Some of the applications go back as far as 2016, and some of the decisions will include partial waivers.
