EPA to finalize 2026 RVOs by early March

In Washington, Reuters reports the Environmental Protection Agency expects to finalize its 2026 Renewable Volume Obligation quotas by early March at levels in line with the draft published last year in a compromise between the biofuels and oil industries. The EPA plans to drop its plans for punitive measures on feedstock and biofuel imports, however. Its final plans are expected to be delivered to the White House’s budget office later this month, with an answer from the OMB expected within 30 days.
