In Washington, Reuters reports the Environmental Protection Agency expects to finalize the biofuel blending mandates for 2026 and 2027 during the first quarter of next year. Until the decision about future blending is made, companies are holding back decisions on fuel purchases, hedging positions as well as investments. A notice filed with the U.S Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit on December 15 showed the EPA had consulted with the White House Office of Management and Budget to determine the new publishing date.
