EnergyPathways collaborates with UK Government on hydrogen storage

In the UK, Fuel Cells Works reported that EnergyPathways, an energy transition company developing low-carbon integrated energy solutions in the UK, announced that the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) has invited it to participate in the Hydrogen Storage Business Model (HSBM) Design Group. This exclusive group includes several tier-one companies leading the UK’s energy transition efforts, according to the report. The HSBM, once finalized, will define DESNZ’s new investment support scheme for hydrogen storage projects. EnergyPathways plans to submit an application for its large-scale MESH natural gas and green hydrogen storage project during the first DESNZ Hydrogen Storage Allocation Round, expected to launch in 2025, the report added. EnergyPathways will participate in the allocation round with an expansion of its MESH project, a natural gas and green hydrogen storage facility off the Lancashire coast, the report added.
