Edison Next and Michelin Italiana inaugurate decarbonization system at Italian tire plant

In Italy, Edison Next and Michelin Italiana inaugurated a system of plants for the decarbonization and optimisation of energy consumption at the Cuneo plant, the Group’s largest tire production site in Western Europe, reducing CO2 emissions by approximately 18,000 tons per year.

The system of interventions implemented by Edison Next, the Edison Group company that accompanies customers and territories in their decarbonization and energy transition path, will allow the Michelin plant in Cuneo to anticipate the achievement of the 2030 goal of reducing emissions by 50% compared to 2010 and to advance towards the subsequent target of carbon neutrality by 2050, being able to count on a plant already set up to use biomethane and hydrogen.
