EBRD set to approve $46.4M for Serbian corn-based ethanol plant

In Serbia, SeeNews reports the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is analyzing the possibility of a $46.4 million to Serbian alcohol producer Sunal and winery PP Erdervik, subsidiaries of Cyprus-based MKG Agrinvestment, to support the company’s winery segment through the construction of a 30 million liter per year ethanol plant, but it would use corn as feedstock. The loan, which would cover the entirety of the investment, is set to be approved on July 23.
