In Spain, Moeve and easyJet have signed an agreement to accelerate the decarbonisation of air transport by promoting sustainable aviation fuel. The agreement provides for the supply of SAF for six years, from 2025 to 2030, for the routes operated by the airline in Spain. Moeve produces SAF for supply to airlines at its La Rábida Energy Park (Huelva), from used cooking oils. Álvaro Macarro, Director of Sustainable Aviation at Moeve, said: “We believe that SAF is the immediate solution for more sustainable aviation and that is why we already supply it permanently at the country’s main airports. This new milestone that we have reached with easyJet, a leading airline in Spain, is crucial to advancing our decarbonization and that of our customers.”
