In Texas, Darling Ingredients said its 50/50 joint venture Diamond Green Diesel (DGD), successfully completed its first marine shipment of neat SAF (SPK) from Port Arthur, Texas. “Our joint venture partner, Valero Energy Corporation, plans to blend this SPK to supply major U.S. aviation hubs, advancing the adoption of cleaner, more sustainable fuels for air travel,” the firm said. “At Darling Ingredients, we are proud to play a key role in this achievement by utilizing our abundant, low-carbon intensity waste fats as the primary feedstock for renewable diesel and SAF production. This aligns with our commitment to circularity and our vision of a more sustainable future,” the company added.
