DEKALB launches new sorghum varieties in central U.S.

In Missouri, Brownfield reported that DEKALB launched new sorghum products in central U.S.

The report noted that sorghum is expected to be an attractive crop for areas experiencing drier than usual field conditions.

The report added that Bryan Thomas with DEKALB noted there are two new varieties of sorghum available in 2025.

He said DKS49-76 and DKS43-76 have done well in field trials. The varieties yield well for growers in Kansas, Missouri and Illinois. The executive stated that supplies are limited this year, but more will be available in 2026.
