February 9, 2026 |

In India, the Financial Express newspaper reports the new trade agreement between the US and India will establish a quota of 500,000 metric tons of American DDGS imports, accounting for about 1% of India’s annual animal feed consumption. The US is seeking new markets for its DDGS after trade relations with key importer China soured. India can only supply about two-thirds of its own feed demand from local production while it relies on imports from countries including Sri Lanka, China, USA, Thailand, Nepal, Niger, Togo, Benin, Mozambique, Myanmar, Ukraine, Singapore, and UAE for the rest.
