In Ukraine, a new analyzes global trends in bioethanol production and considers the potential of Ukraine with a focus on regional features, using the YC.Market analytical tool from YouControl to assess the raw material base. The functionality of YC.Market allowed to determine the TOP-10 cities of Ukraine by the number of agricultural companies – potential suppliers of raw materials for bioethanol. The absolute leader is the capital, m. Kyiv (188 companies) – many large agricultural holdings and traders who historically register head offices in Kyiv are concentrated here. The second and third places were taken by Mykolaiv (85) and Kropyvnytskyi (57) – large regional centers in key agricultural regions. Next are the Dnieper (49) and Kharkiv (43), which close the top five.
The high concentration of agricultural companies in these cities indicates favorable conditions for the placement of bioethanol production near them – there are raw materials, infrastructure, and qualified personnel nearby. The top ten also included other significant cities in agricultural regions (for example, we can expect the presence of regional centers like Vinnytsia, Odesa, Poltava, etc.).
