In Bulgaria, Renewables News reported that Danish companies Skovgaard Energy, Topsoe and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) have brought online what is described as the world’s first dynamic green ammonia plant.
The plant is owned by Skovgaard Energy, an energy company based in Lemvig, Northwest Jutland. Set to produce 5,000 tons of green ammonia annually, the plant demonstrates how renewable power generation can be coupled directly to ammonia production.
The plant is a demonstration project, supported by $12.7 million in funding from the Danish Energy Technology Development and Demonstration Program (EUDP).
