In Missouri, Brownfield reported that Brazil’s Conab said that with harvest nearly over, soybean production should be around 168.342 million tons, up 14% on the year, with the yield rising 10.5% thanks to improved weather.
The report noted that second crop corn planting has wrapped up in Brazil with the crop pegged at 99.803 million tons, 10.8% above a year ago, and a significant portion of that probably headed for the export market.
The first corn crop harvest is 77.6% complete, with that crop seen at 24.688 million tons and total corn production is expected to be 126.879 million tons, 9.9% larger than last year, the report added.
