In Chile, BNamericas reported that Colombia and Chile signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that unites efforts to accelerate the region’s sustainable energy transition.
The agreement was signed by Colombia’s Minister of Mines and Energy, Edwin Palma Egea, and Chile’s Minister of Energy, Diego Pardow Lorenzo, within the framework of the Global Gateway Forum held in Brussels. It establishes mechanisms for technical, scientific, and regulatory cooperation for the joint development of low-emission hydrogen and sustainable aviation fuels.
The agreement also provides for the creation of a binational working group to coordinate the execution of joint projects and initiatives, as well as the exploration of international financing mechanisms and the exchange of technical, scientific, and regulatory knowledge.
