CO2Bioclean pilot plant inaugurated in Germany

November 5, 2024 |

In Germany, the future-oriented pilot plant CO2Bioclean in Industriepark Höchst near Frankfurt was recently inaugurated. The plant offers a unique and innovative solution for reducing greenhouse gas emissions while producing biodegradable plastics.

During the opening ceremony, the CO2Bioclean team presented the innovative technology that makes it possible to convert CO2 into bioplastics: a fermentation process that converts CO2 into PHA, which can then be used in various applications such as cosmetics, packaging and agriculture. The pilot plant was put into operation at the end of August and represents an important milestone in the fight against climate change and plastic pollution.
