In Ireland, the Irish Times newspaper reports Clonbio Green Gas Ltd, trading as Green Generation, has gone into receivership after the State-owned Irish Strategic Investment Fund appointed receivers invited by the company. It is not yet clear if the company will remain operational while in recievership. The company blames government policy that makes the biomethane it produces uncompetitive against waste-based imported biofuels that it says are likely fraudulent. The transport minister has promised to investigate the claims of fraud.
