In New York, Chemical Engineering reported that Chiyoda Corp. announced plans to deliver a water electrolysis system, currently under development by Chiyoda and Toyota Motor Corporation, for a low-carbon hydrogen production business being conducted by Toyota Tsusho Corp., Eurus Energy Holdings Corporation and Iwatani Corporation at Aichi Steel Corporation.
The project has been certified by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry under the ¨Support Focusing on the Price Gap scheme based on the Hydrogen Society Promotion Act.”
Chiyoda plans to install the water electrolysis system in Aichi Steel’s Chita Factory using a wind power plant owned by Eurus Energy, according to the report.
Chiyoda will manufacture and sell water electrolysis equipment using Toyota-manufactured stacks, combining Toyota’s fuel cell technologies and cell stack and mass production knowledge with Chiyoda’s process plant design expertise and large-scale plant construction capabilities, it added.
