China going all in on UCO-based SAF

In China, Ukragroconsult reports that 12 flights from four different airports have already joined the first phase of the country’s roll out of Sustainable Aviation Fuel. Currently, the country produces about 350,000 metric tons per year, mostly from used cooking oil, with plans to expand production 10-fold in the coming years as it heads for a 15% SAF blending mandate by 2030. Its 2025 mandate of 2% SAF blending will require 2.5 million tons of SAF.
