Cepsa sees B24 demand doubling or tripling in 2025

In the UK, Cepsa says its expects B24 biobunkering to reach up to 3 million metric tons next year, from the 1 million tons currently available on the market in 2024. With plenty of biodiesel available for blending, demand is expected to grow as biodiesel is ready option while other alternative marine fuels are not yet ready to scale. The FuelEU Maritime law will come into effect in 2025 which will see demand for decarbonization options soar.
