In Argentina, Reuters reported that soybean yields in Argentina’s main agricultural region have increased thanks to high rain volumes in recent days and weeks, the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange said.
According to the Grain Exchange, the current season’s harvest is expected to reach 49.6 million tons.
“In production areas, the rains in February and early March have favored grain filling in early-season soybeans, with a positive impact on yield,” the Stock Exchange said in its weekly crop report.
Agricultural producers have harvested 8.1% of Argentina’s corn, according to the Exchange, which estimates corn production at 49 million tons.
