Brazil’s soybean harvest advances to 15% of area, consultancy finds

February 16, 2025 |

In Brazil, InfoMoney reported that local consultancy AgRural stated that Brazil’s 2024/25 soybean harvest reached 15% of the cultivated area as of February 6, against 9% registered in the previous week and 23% in the same period last year.

According to a survey by the consultancy, Paraná state remains in the lead, with one third of its soybean area already harvested. In Mato Grosso state, work has made “good progress” this week, even with less favorable weather conditions for machines to enter the field.

“Some rain recorded last week brought some relief to crops in the south of Rio Grande do Sul after a month of January marked by little rainfall,” added AgRural, warning of the need to monitor the weather in the state in the coming weeks.
