In China, Caixin Global reported that Brazil’s soybean exports to China surged to 12.11 million metric tons in May, a 37.5% jump from the same month last year, according to data released by China’s General Administration of Customs.
The report noted that the increase signals a strong recovery from earlier in the year and reflects a steady rebound in demand from China.
According to an analysis by Brazil’s National Association of Cereal Exporters, the trend is being driven by Chinese companies actively procuring the recent South American harvest, the report added.
