In Brazil, Noticias Agricolas reported that Brazil’s soybean production is expected to reach a record 170.72 million tons in 2024/25, up 15.6% from the previous season, according to Hedgepoint Global Markets.

In a report, the consultancy estimated a soybean planted area of 47.54 million hectares this season, also pointing to a new record, while average productivity was forecast at 3,591 kilos per hectare.

According to Hedgepoint, despite production problems in Rio Grande do Sul and Mato Grosso do Sul, due to low humidity in recent weeks, the high productivity expected for states such as Paraná and Mato Grosso should guarantee a record production of the oilseed.
