Brazil’s Mining Ministry defines names for working group that will study new policies for waterway fuels, SAF

In Brazil, Eixos reported that Brazil’s Ministry of Mines and Energy has defined the composition of the working group responsible for the studies that will support the National Energy Policy Council (CNPE) in new policies for waterway and aviation fuels and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The working group will be coordinated by the director of Petroleum Derivative Fuels at the MME, Renato Dutra , and will be composed of 16 other members. The group was officially established in August last year by the CNPE. For the aviation sector, the group should assess the need for tax differentiation applied to sustainable aviation fuel and financing mechanisms.
