Brazil’s Anec reduces projection for soybean corn and wheat exports in February

In Brazil, Compre Rural reported that The National Association of Cereal Exporters (Anec) reduced its projection for Brazilian soybean exports in February to a range between 8.4 million tons and 11.035 million tons. 

The number represents a reduction in relation to the ceiling of 11.895 million tons predicted last week. In the same month of 2024, Brazil exported 9.608 million tons of the grain. 

The estimate for corn exports was also reduced, falling to 1.284 million tons, against 1.302 million tons last week. The volume represents an increase of 77.3% compared to the 724,000 tons exported in February last year. For wheat, the projection fell from 577.900 tons to 521.700 tons, a volume 3.1% lower than the 538.400 tons shipped in February 2024.
