In Brazil, Agencia Brasil reported that the National Supply Company (Conab) estimated that the total volume of grains to be harvested in the 2025/2026 season will be 353.8 million tons, 1% higher than the 350.2 million tons harvested in the 2024/25 season – a record volume for the sector at the time.
According to the outlook, the result will be influenced by the increase in cultivated area, which should rise from 81.74 million hectares in the last harvest to 84.24 million hectares in the 2025/26 agricultural cycle.
Regarding the main crop grown in Brazil, Conab projects a 3.6% increase in soybean production, reaching 177.67 million tons in the next harvest. In the last harvest, 171.47 million tons of the oilseed were harvested, according to the report.
